Company History
A successful management will always rely on knowledge of the own roots to know where the future leads to. So the traditions having their origin in the founding period of the EuWe Group are still an important factor of our future-oriented innovations.
The company has undergone some important changes since its incorporation in 1968. It however still draws its strengths from the precious know how of the initial time when the production was limited to metal products.
When the production expanded to plastic parts in 1970 it was only a short but decisive step to the EuWe Group conquering the motor car industry. Figures exploded and the great demand required business relocation to another site with more development possibilities. The original company seat was relocated from Röthenbach to Lauf an der Pegnitz.
In 1993, the group made first international steps to Mexico, establishing the EuWe de México joint venture with the goal to supply the North-American market in the Mexican state of Tlaxcala.
One year later, EuWe founded the EuWe Eugen Wexler CR s.r.o. subsidiary,
thus also conquering the booming eastern European market in the Czech town
of Rokycany.
The period 2000-2009 was one of continuous growth. All our sites expanded
their plants and production capacity. In 2009 our plant in Rokycany, Czech
Republic opened an additional production facility which enabled it to almost
double its production capacity.
In 2011, as part of the Group’s strategic expansion, a new logistics center
was opened in Lauf, Germany. Located on the A9 Berlin-Munich highway, this
site has become a central hub for EuWe Group Germany.
In 2017, our new production facility in USA / South Carolina started
full-scale production to supply the US market with our products from nearby.
What we are today – one of the medium-sized market leaders in the automotive
industry - is the result of our year-long experience, innovation and high flexibility.
